Personal Projects and Retouching




2024–ONGOING

In my personal time, I enjoy taking pictures of streetstyle both day and night. I find vibrancy in bars, neon lights, and casual outings with friends. I want to document my 20s because I miss the times we printed pictures and made photo albums.




Retouching Examples


I am assigned retouching assignments as part of day to day duties at the Rubin Museum to support digitization efforts. I remove backgrounds, pin holes, and other distracting elements to allow online users to focus on the object without altering the art piece itself.


I will also photograph books and products for the Museum and color correct, as neccessary, to better represent the object’s true hues and colors.

These skills have translated over to my photography practice.

In the original photo, the hair created a distracting detail. I removed hair from the neck area to draw attention to the face. I used flash for this photograph in a dark bar setting, but I noticed afterward the two models were washed out in color. In Photoshop, I color corrected the image, paying extra attention to the skin contrast between the models. I added saturation and contrast, and I also added more yellow to the skin.
