The Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art is known for its diverse array of art from the Himalayan region, comprising sacred and religious artworks. We offer programming in different languages including Tibetan to reach wider international audiences These are examples of social media graphic storyboards and printed multilingual collateral used for traveling exhibitions and bilingual programming.

In 2022, the Rubin created a traveling version of New York City-based installation of the Mandala Lab. Inspired by powerful Buddhist principles, the Mandala Lab features five thought-provoking, playful experiences—including videos, scents, sculpture, and curated percussion instruments—that guide you along an inner journey focused on self-awareness and awareness of others. See, smell, touch, and breathe your way through the space, designed to inspire connection, empathy, and learning.

The exhibition has traveled, so far, to three European cities including Bilbao, London, and Milan.

I localized Instagram social ad graphics for London and Milan, following translator recommendations:

  1. Day-Month-Year format
  2. 24 Hour Clock
  3. Keeping fonts 12 pt or more

All storyboards use the same color palette to keep consistency.  The color palette references the Attachment room in the Mandala Lab and other experiences in the space. I mainly used pink, red, and white for title cards throughout the sequence.

Then, each emotion is color coded, as they appear in-person. Yellow represents pride. Red represents attachment. Green represents envy. Blue represents anger. Grey represents ignorance.
